Koodae was born to a Korean immigrant family and raised in Kyoto, Japan. She is a former certified public accountant and worked as an audit manager in the financial field for six years.

In 2016, Koodae earned an MFA in producing at the world renowned American Film Institute (AFI) and launched her career in filmmaking.

Immediately upon graduating, she served as a producer on the feature film “Gehenna: Where Death Lives” (dir. Hiroshi Katagiri) and story produced Netflix’s “Ultimate Beastmaster” (exec. prod. Sylvester Stallone.)

Her recent professional works include serving as a physical production consultant on a US-Japan co-produced adaptation of Haruki Murakami’s “Hanalei Bay” and working as a casting producer on Netflix’s “Hyperdrive (exec. prod. Charlize Theron.)

She is currently in production as a co-producer on “The Gift,” a dramedy following an Asian-American family (writ/dir. Anna Chi, prod. Erica Brady.)

京都出身。日本の高校在学中に単身渡米し、米国の大学を卒業後、デロイト・トウシュ会計事務所、EOS Accountants LLP等で監査業務に携わりながら、米国公認会計士資格を取得する。その後、映画製作を志してtenFrames LLCを設立するとともに、American Film Instituteに入学し、在学中から長編映画のプロデュースに携わる。卒業後も引き続き長編映画のプロデュースを行っているほか、制作会社でテレビ番組の企画及び制作のコーディネートやキャスティング、国際共同製作映画の制作経理業務を行うなど幅広く活動している。
